44: THE OBAMA MUSICAL

The set drew inspiration from the Oval Office during the Obama administration, reimagining its iconic architecture with striped wallpaper and symbolic detail. While presidents have long adapted the Oval Office to reflect their identities, Obama’s historic tenure made that tradition especially meaningful. The design embodied change in both form and function.

A Neo-Classical facade on one side, contrasted with playful, kitsch interiors on the oter, echoing the play’s comedic tone. Spinning doors, rotating panels, and hidden entrances kept the set in constant motion—placing transformation at the heart of the production.
